How to Love a Woman When Her Period Is On

  1. Be kind.

    Love is patient. Love is kind. Be mindful of her feelings. During her period, a woman feels so many emotions over which she has no control!!! There are times when she will be overly sensitive, emotional and critical. If she says something that hurts your feelings, don't take it personal. It's not about you. She is in pain. Realize that this time of the month is a difficult time for her.
  2. Give her a massage.

    When a woman's having her period, her uterus contracts which causes cramping. In order to help relieve her pain and suffering, ask her where she aches. Ask her where she is cramping and then gently massage those areas. This will provide relief to her aching muscles and will show her how much you care about her.


  1. Encourage her to drink water.

    Be sure to encourage her to drink plenty of water and avoid substances with caffeine in them. Caffeine worsens menstrual pain, so encourage her to drink plenty of water.
  2. Exercise with her.

    Encourage the woman in your life to exercise. During her period, her muscles are contracting which causes discomfort. Another way to show your love to your partner is to exercise with her. Exercise relaxes the muscles which in turn relieves the pain that she is experiencing. Find an exercise that she enjoys and do it with her such as running, jogging, walking, etc.
  3. Encourage her to drink milk and eat foods loaded with vitamins and minerals.

    During this time of the month, a woman is losing a lot of blood. Be sure she eats bananas or foods that contain potassium. Be sure she
    drinks milk or eats foods that contain calcium. Lastly, encourage her to take an iron tablet or eat foods that contain iron. Eating foods and drinking beverages that contain vitamins and minerals will replenish her body.
  4. Take a nice hot romantic shower with her.

    Gently wash her body and show her how much you love her. Allow her to do the same for you. Like a massage and exercising, hot water relaxes the muscles which will help her to feel better. Afterward, put lotion on each other's body. If you like this would be a good time to give her a full body massage.
